Find the Perfect Venue for Your Event: Hampshire, Dorset and Wiltshire, Sorted

Don’t be misled by the name. New Forest Events works across Hampshire, Dorset and Wiltshire, from the Roman Baths in Bath all the way to Petersfield. We’ve worked with more than 100 venues across the region, planning events in all sorts of spaces. The New Forest is home, not a boundary line.
Finding a venue sounds simple. Find a pretty room, check the date, book it. Until the room is too small for your guest list, the caterers can’t get in, the bar has to close early or the car park is somewhere in another postcode.
We help you find the right place for your event, then make sure it works in real life as well as it does in the photos.

More than 100 venues. One useful starting point.
We’ve planned events in more than 100 venues across Hampshire, Dorset and Wiltshire. That experience gives us a broad mix of spaces to consider, whether you’re planning a wedding, a milestone birthday, a corporate event or a private gathering.
That might mean a treehouse in the forest, a beachfront pavilion, a stately house or country estate. It could be a hotel, barn, castle, garden, private dining room, city venue or a marquee on private land. We also like an unusual space: provided it’s actually suitable, rather than merely excellent in photographs.
The right venue depends on your event, your guest numbers, your budget and the atmosphere you want. A relaxed family celebration has different needs from a wedding reception or a company event. We’ll help you narrow down the options instead of sending you a very long list and wishing you luck.
The details that make a venue work
A venue can look perfect online and still be a logistical puzzle. We’ve been there, planning. We know the questions to ask before you put down a deposit.
- Is there enough room for your guest numbers and the layout you want?
- Can suppliers get in easily for set-up and pack-down?
- Is there suitable power for the event and equipment?
- What are the kitchen arrangements if catering is coming in?
- What licences and restrictions apply to food, drink and entertainment?
- Are there noise limits or a set time the event must finish?
- Where will guests park, and is the access straightforward?
- And, gently, do the photos tell the whole story?
These things aren’t glamorous. Neither is discovering on the day that the van can’t reach the entrance. We’ll talk through the practicalities, flag anything that needs checking and help arrange viewings so you can make an informed choice.

Honest advice, not a hard sell
A venue might be lovely and still be wrong for your guest numbers, budget or plans. We’ll tell you. Better over a coffee than after you’ve signed a contract.
Sometimes the best choice is the venue you first had in mind. Sometimes it’s a less obvious option that suits the event better, and leaves more room in the budget for food, drinks or the details guests will actually remember.
We once found a castle for less than a garden marquee. Yes, we’re still a little smug about it. The point is that choosing a venue creatively can make a real difference. We look beyond the obvious shortlist and help you weigh up what each option gives you.
Venue finding, with the rest of the plan covered
Finding the place is one part of the job. We can also help with bespoke event planning and coordination, so the venue, timings and suppliers fit together without you having to chase every moving part yourself.
Food and drink matter, too. We provide catering with locally sourced, seasonal and foraged ingredients, and can create custom bar menus to suit the event. Explore our catering menus or find out about mobile bar hire.
Bands and DJs can be arranged as an optional extra where they suit the occasion. They’re not a requirement for a good party. Neither is a 40-page spreadsheet. We’ll help you decide what the event actually needs.
Experience you can put to work
New Forest Events brings more than 20 years of Hampshire and New Forest event-planning experience, alongside 30 years in the bar and restaurant industry. Nova holds a Personal Licence, Food Safety Level 3 and an Allergy Certificate, and is a Leiths-trained patisserie chef.
We also ran the Milford on Sea Music Festival from 2018 to 2021. Large events teach you to respect the practical details. They also teach you that a plan is only useful if someone can actually run it.
Our awards include Best Bespoke Mobile Bar & Event Catering Company 2026 – Hampshire from SME News, New Event Management Company of the Year 2025/26 from the South England Prestige Awards, and a win in two categories at the Corporate Livewire Global Awards 2026/27.
Awards are nice. Experience, honest advice and a well-run event are more useful.
How our venue-finding service works
Start by telling us four things:
- Your date, or how flexible you can be.
- Your guest numbers: an estimate is fine to start.
- Your budget, so we can focus on realistic options.
- Your vibe: formal, relaxed, outdoorsy, intimate, lively, or something that doesn’t fit a neat label.
We’ll look for venues that suit your plans, discuss the practical differences and arrange viewings where possible. We’ll also flag the questions to ask before you book, including access, power, kitchen facilities, licences, noise restrictions, capacity and parking.
If a place doesn’t fit, we’ll say so. If there’s a better option you hadn’t considered, we’ll bring it up. That’s what a venue-finding service should do.
Planning a wedding and looking for a wedding planner Hampshire couples can talk venue options through with? Need an event planner Hampshire clients can rely on, or a party planner Hampshire who knows the region beyond the sign on the van? We can help you find a place that fits, and bring the wider event together too.
